TOW TRUCK DRIVER MISREPRESENTED SERVICES & COSTS
|My son was in a car accident yesterday (17/09/2013).A woman came thru the red light while he was turning. Johnny from A1 assist gave us two options: to tow the damaged car to our residence @ R650 for 1.5km or to tow it to their Panelbeaters, New Wagon, who would do the third party claim, which would also cover all the costs involved. We went with option two after he put a call through to Muhammed, manager at New Wagon, who assured us that all costs would be covered & that they would process the claim. When we got to New Wagon the next day, Muhammed swore blind I never spoke to him. Either he's lying, or Johnny put in a fake call....either way it's going to cost us about R6000 to have our vehicle released. I am starting a petition with [URL Removed] for there to be a governing body for these disgustingly unethical tow truck drivers who prey on folk at a time of shock & trauma.
