We had two incidents at Food Lovers Market in Nicolway. During November one Saturday morning, we bought pork chops at Food Lovers Market in Nicolway. When we got home, we immediately put it in the freezer. During that following week, we defrosted the pork and when we opened the vacuum pack, we got a RUDE awakening. The pork was off and the smell was literally impossible to get out of our house for the rest of the evening. On Saturday (12 January) we visited again, and this time bought pork neck (and now asking myself the question why we didn't learn from our mistake the first time...). When we got home, I saw on the label that the "Sell By" date was 08 January... You would really have thought that a retailer like Food Lovers would understand the consequences of off meat, especially pork. |
