we have a 12 month (stokvel) savings account with Ithala Bank, we once made a deposit of 1000 into the account, on the slip it clearly states R1000 but the teller on put R500 into the account. we only found this out when one of our members was R500 short in her pay out. we had to go back to our bank slips and book to find where the discrepancy was only to find this happened as early as June but we only picked it up in January because that's when we do the withdrawals. The bank refuses to give us our money even though fault is on their side. I want to let Ithala Bank know that I will not take this lying down, you are in contradiction of the FAIS ACT you employ people who do not fit the FIT and PROPER requirements. I am taking this to the FAIS OMBUD
