Funeral cover

My Gran mother passed away on the 10/01/2014, she has had funeral cover since 16/05/1973. Stamped in her book on 19/08/1985 this policy was paid in full. No money outstanding. after my Gran passed it took us a week to get this policy paid out. We have a whole funeral to arrange and pay with the total pay out from Liberty of R400 odd. When we enquired about this they said that in 1985 when the main member, my Gran Father passed R300 was paid out, and yet they can not explain how a policy which has been paid in full and in existence since 1973 with inflation and also intrust could only pay our R100 more after 19 year of first pay out. I am so disappointed in Liberty that not one of my family and friend nor me or my husband will ever buy any product from them again. The money paid out does not even pay for just the tea and coffee never mind the Funeral letter, church, priest or any of the other know expenses of the funeral. Any one with any type of cover taken out with Liberty I would strongly suggest to cancel and get a company that would be there for them in there time of need. We will definitely be informing the ombudsman, thank the lord that my husband has FA experience.
